InStep 5K Race Against Childhood Cancer
Great Changes & Improvements for
our 2010 Expo

Convenient Dates: Saturday, January 30 and Sunday January 31 — the weekend before the Super Bowl and two weeks before the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Bigger Hall, Better Location: The Expo will again be held at State Fair Park, but we've moved to Exhibit Hall A, with over 100,000 square feet of exhibit space and room for more than 150 vendors. This years' Exhibit Hall A is conveniently located directly below the Tech Session rooms for quicker, easier access.

More Activities: In addition to last years' activities — including VO2 Max testing, Swim Stroke Analysis in the
endless pool, 8-Person Team Time Trials, Bicycle Fittings,
and our feature event, the Winter Series 5K Championships at the Expo — we've expanded the number and type of both participant activities and informational sessions for 2010. We'll have 4-Person and Individual [Age-Group] Time Trials, Functional Body Movement screenings, and the Salus Corporate Challenge Walk/Run Across America, a fund-raising event in which everyone can take part. We'll have great sessions:
  • Main Stage Featured Tech-Talks: 45 minutes, 6 sessions total, featuring expert athletes speaking about their areas of specialty. Special guests [subject to confirmation] may include Olympian and World Champion Triathlete Andy Potts, Olympic Triathlete Matt Reed, Olympic Marathoner Ryan Hall, and World Class Marathoner Josh Cox.
  • Tech Sessions: 45-60 minutes, 18 sessions total [6 Beginner,
6 Intermediate, 6 Advanced], covering the full scope of the
    swimming, running, and biking disciplines.
  • Hands-On Mini-Clinics: 15-20 minutes, 8 sessions total [4 topics, each at 2 scheduled times], also held at the Main Stage covering skill areas to benefit every althlete, with topics such as bike tire changes, dynamic warm-ups, post-training stretching, and swim drills on land.
  • 2-Hour Workshops [advance sign-up/fee required]: These clinics provide comprehensive information on topics such as Swim, Nutrition, Ironman, and Strength Training.
Goodie Bags: The first 4,000 attendees will receive a goodie bag with valuable coupons and discounts — valued at over $150. And the first 500 people entering the Expo will receive a special RACC gift, custom Sock Guy RACC socks.
Here's what some of our Attendees had
to say about the 2009 Expo
From Our ATTENDEES
I just wanted to thank you guys for putting on such a
great event!
Jennifer G.

We went today [Saturday] and had a great time. The event was affordable, well advertised [even my non-athletic friends had heard about it via TV coverage], in a nice venue, well organized, and had great exhibits with friendly staff promoting quality products and providing useful information. And, best of all, it jazzed us up for another great season of biking, running, tri-ing, and other fun. It not only met my expectations — it exceeded them!
Laura K.

Very neat, I am glad I went — it was excellent.
Kevin K.

I went to the expo on Saturday [from Chicago] and you guys really put on a great event. The venue was well suited and easy to get to, and the exhibitors were enthusiastic/approachable, and very knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back next year.
Dave S.
Please express my sincere thanks to everyone that made that event possible, you guys did an outstanding job!
Mark D.

This expo was a wonderful addition to the Milwaukee winter events, hope to see it year after year and continue to grow!
Robin T.

This was a great event and I am glad I did the TT and attended overall.
Steven P.

Just wanted to send a note to say thank you for putting on such a great event and for fighting for such a great cause. I was blessed to become a proud father a couple of days after the InStep run and I couldn't imagine what the parents of children who are stricken with cancer must go through. I am happy to participate in any event that you sponsor not only because they are well organized and fun events, but also because the cause cannot be beat!!!
Tim W.
Special thanks to CLIF Bar, the Official Energy Bar of the Expo. And thanks too to ORBEA Bikes, our Official Bike Sponsor. ORBEA will provide a bike corral for all Expo attendees to securely store bikes during the Expo; you have in/out access to the corral as often as you wish.
